Right next to the beach, where the bustle of the streets and shops gives way to the sound and smell of the waves, is the city's best-kept treasure: the Manuel Puigvert promenade. It is Calella's recreational area par excellence and one of the most charming places, lined with large, hundred-year-old plane trees that tinge the city's coastal landscape with greens and ochres.
